Vegas to Home

Well, well... that's about it for my Summer of 2010 sojourn..
We left for the suburbs of Vegas the night before my flight.
My brother and his boss' flight were much earlier than mine, so the boss' parents who we stayed with that night said I could stay with them and they would take me to the airport when it was time I go.

I enjoyed my time with his parents.  I mostly spoke to his mom.  We talked about things like her hobby of bird-watching and her travels in pursuit of bird watching... She's been to India... Gujarat, even.  They put on their travel video.  It was nice to watch the various bustling streets of India and the exotic natural environments that they visited on their safari... I hope I get to visit India this year~
Oh!!  I've been obsessed with finding out what this one beautiful bird that I saw in Himachal Pradesh is.... I told her about it and she showed me this thick book on the birds of India.  I flipped through it page by page and I think I found it!  Here is the page: 

It may be one of these or related to these birds.  I think they call that sort of tail a Ribbon Tail.  When it flew it was the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. 
It's white body flew in vertical waves accentuated by its graceful tail.

I just looked up a couple of these birds on youtube though, and they don't seem to fly the same way ...one day.  When I go back to Sidhabari, I will find out what this beautiful creature is. ;-)


Boss' parents also treated me to a Indian buffet, Bollywood Grill.. The food was delicious and I enjoyed the ambiance.

When I got to the airport around 1:20/ 2pm  I checked in my bags and headed for my terminal.. As I was going through the security area they freaked out upon scanning my backpack.. I forgot that you have to take your laptop out.. hehe... the man who rescanned it was nice about it though.  I wonder why they freaked =P

Well, I waited for the plane for some time, but it was fine.  I listened to my ipod, took pictures, walked around the stores which were full or overpriced chips, touristy items and candy bars.    I didn't buy anything.  I saved the last piece of naan to eat on the plane.. was a yummy snack!
They also gave us peanuts and cheese nips.
I took some pics looking outside the plane... but, I accidentally sat in the worst places to take pics on the plane, both times.. I switched planes in phoenix.
I got home around 10/11pm

It's nice to be home.

So, what's my next adventure, you ask..  Skydiving.  lol
Well, a couple of my friends and I are going this Saturday.  I found out about it through a meetup group... and, we get group discount so, that's cool.

I'm excited X-)  !!!

Hopefully, I'll get to go to India this winter.  So, goodbye till then~  Thank you guys for encouraging me to write this!

I may work on my other blogs (one's on cooking, and another is on a random hobby of anthropology).
